Almont Vineyard Church

What to Expect

We’ll be having a joint Good Friday service April 18th at 6pm, hosted by the First Congregational Church in downtown Almont. Our Easter Sunday Service will be at our normal time and location, 10:30 April 20 at 3835 Van Dyke in Almont.

The people who call the AVC their home, come from all walks of life.  The common bond that we share is our heart for our community-family, friends, co-workers and neighbors, experiencing the transforming power and presence of Jesus Christ as we serve, laugh, cry, learn and worship together…

What should you expect when visiting the Almont Vineyard Church?

A greeter will give you a bulletin and guide you to areas of interest…the coffee area is a great first stop!

Fellowship-Our Sunday service begins with a time of fellowship when people begin to arrive, around 10:15 am. We welcome you to join us, grab a cup of coffee and make yourself at home. If you are visiting for the first time, please be sure to pick up a “Welcome Bag” from our Visitor’s Center.

Welcome & Opening Prayer (Pastor Brad)

Announcements-We do our best to start our announcements at 10:35 am. During this time we share what is happening at the AVC. Please take the time to fill out the connect card that is attached to the Sunday bulletin if you are a visitor and drop it in the praying hands box located on our information table. If you have any prayer requests, those can be listed on the back of the connect card as well.

Worship-Praising our Lord through music is an integral part of our gatherings. We have a worship team that uses a variety of instruments to play a mix of songs you are likely to hear on contemporary Christian radio. But, not forgetting our rich musical heritage, we also include traditional hymns and special music on a regular basis. Feel free to participate in any way you like-stand, clap, kneel, raise your hands or simply sit back and listen.

Children’s Ministry-We offer a fully staffed Nursery, Pre-school and Children’s Ministry during the service.  The nursery is available when you arrive.  We bless our children (Pre-school & Children’s Ministry) and teachers right before the sermon starts.  If you want more information about these ministries Click here.

Message-The messages our Pastor and Guest Speakers deliver are taken from God’s Holy Word and are relevant to the dilemmas and situations we all face in our daily lives.  The Bible is the infallible Word of God to us!

Giving-We believe that giving is an act of worship, and we ask that you prayerfully consider giving unto the Lord.  We have a tithe box, located at the back of the ministry center, for your convenience.  Each Sunday we pray over our tithes and offerings, asking God to bless what we have given unto Him.

Closing Prayer-We close the service with a benediction and people are free to fellowship or leave at that time.  We have trained prayer teams available after each service, if you would like to receive prayer for any reason.

What should I wear?

Casual attire is the norm – jeans or whatever you feel comfortable wearing.
