AVC’s Children’s Ministry Sundays & Wednesdays
Children’s Ministry on Sundays
We make it a priority each week to pray over the children (Preschool – 5th Grade) and their teachers before we release them to their classes. Our three goals we strive to share with your children are: 1) God’s Word 2) Fun Activities and 3) a Safe Environment.
Nursery (Infant – 2 years)
For your convenience, our clean, bright Nursery is staffed with two workers before the service begins. The nursery is a place where parents can feel confident their child will receive the highest quality of care and ministry. The purpose of this ministry is designed so that each child will see, hear and feel the love of Jesus Christ and to keep the infants and toddlers of the church safe, supervised and nurtured throughout their time.
Pre-school (Ages 3-5 years)
Our Preschoolers are released for their class during the sermon portion of the service. Our preschool is staffed with people who teach your children the love of Christ. Each week a biblical lesson is shared and geared to our youngsters so they understand God’s Word. During their class time, the leaders may play a song, do a craft, play a game or do all three so that your children feel engaged.
Our vision for children’s ministry at the Almont Vineyard Church is to first and foremost show children Jesus. We want children to understand God’s love for them; that Jesus has a place for them in His kingdom work and that place is now (Matt. 19:14). We believe children are not just the future of the church, but they are to be embraced as active participants of the body. We take very seriously our role in delivering and teaching the treasures of the Scripture to the children. During their class time, the children will be taught a biblical story as it relates to their world. There will be a time of engagement through a craft or game, or a group project.
Each child is checked in at the Children’s Welcome Station and will go directly to their classroom once they have checked in. Both the child and the parent/guardian will receive matching ID for the morning. Our Welcome Station is attended by the person that oversees any of their movements (restrooms, checkout to parent/guardian etc.) Your children will only be released to the parent/guardian that has the matching ID to their child(ren.)
