Children’s Ministry on Sundays
We make it a priority each week to pray over the children, (Preschool – 5th Grade), and their teachers before we release them to their classes.  The three goals we strive to achieve while your children are with us are       1) God’s Word 2) Fun Activities and 3) A Safe Environment.

Nursery (Infant – 2 yrs)
For your convenience, the Nursery is staffed before the service begins. The nursery is a place where parents can feel confident their child will receive the highest quality of care and ministry.  The purpose of this ministry is designed so that each child will see, hear and feel the love of Jesus Christ and to keep the infants and toddlers of the church safe, supervised and nurtured throughout their time.  The nursery is cleaned on a regular basis to ensure sanitary conditions and staffed with two or more workers to ensure the safety of your children.

Pre-school (Ages 3-5 yrs)
Our Preschoolers are released for their class during the sermon portion of the service. Our preschool is staffed with people who teach your children the love of Christ. Each week a biblical lesson is shared and geared to our youngsters so they understand God’s Word. During their class time, the leaders may play a song, do a craft, play a game or do all three so that your children feel engaged.

Children’s Church (K-6th Grade)
Our vision for children’s ministry at the Almont Vineyard Church is to first and foremost show children Jesus. We want children to understand God’s love for them; that Jesus has a place for them in His kingdom work and that place is now (Matt. 19:14). We believe children are not just the future of the church, but they are to be embraced as active participants of the body. We take very seriously our role in delivering and teaching the treasures of the Scripture to the children. During their class time, the children will be taught a biblical story as it relates to their world. There will be a time of engagement through a craft or game, or a group project.

Children’s Safety
At the AVC, we believe children are a precious gift from God. Therefore, we take the safety of your children very seriously.  Children are escorted to Children’s Church by a staff member and are not released until picked up by their parent or guardian.  All children who are dropped off in the Nursery & Preschool must be signed in and out by their parent or guardian.  Your child will be assigned a sticker with a number that is placed on the child’s back or carry bag.  The parent or guardian will also be given a sticker that corresponds with their child’s. At the end of the service, it is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to bring the sticker that matches their child’s in order to pick their child up.  Under no circumstances will a child be released to anyone other than the parent or guardian with the corresponding sticker.  Every staff member and volunteer who will be working with children must pass a security background check and attend training, specific to the area in which they are serving.
